Day 253 (Sa, 110910) — Results for Week 36

A Bit of Exercise.  Stats for my run:

I took my supplements (Jack3d and Xtend) before I left about 5 AM.

I celebrated The Sacrament with an added bit of indulgence this morning: I bought some dark chocolate to enjoy with my espresso.  It was heavenly. =)

For my listening pleasure this morning: We’re Alive, A Story of Survival. It’s a podcast with a full crew, sorta like an old school serial radio drama… about zombies.  Very cool. =)


Plan for Week 36. This week went pretty well.  Diet-wise I ate what I should eat and nothing more.  Exercise-wise I had a great series of initial tests on Tuesday (and Friday) and a solid MCT workout Wednesday.  My planned workout for Friday did not happen.  Life did, instead.

So I am up again this week.  Maybe missing that workout yesterday hurt my numbers.  Maybe taking a second Free Day last weekend hurt.  Maybe I didn’t sweat as much as I have been during my Saturday morning runs since today was cooler than it has been in a long time.  Whatever the cause, the past two weeks have seen me gain back 6.5 pounds, 1.1% BF, and 3.8 pounds BF.

So . . . what to think about all this . . . .

Here’s the deal: I felt great all week.  My ring was looser than normal.  My pants fit well.  My shirts fit well.  I felt skinny.

Do I toss all those good feelings because of what the machine said or do I stop trying to use metrics at all and just focus on the nebulous “feelings” without any anchor in objective data?

I’ll delve into this tomorrow.  Today IS Free Day and I am going to go enjoy it.
