Day 122 (M, 110502) — Veggies From Hell diet (VFHD), Day 2

Second day of the Veggies From Hell diet (VFHD).

Yesterday was not too bad.  I did have a headache for much of the day.  It may have been caused by eating such a low-calorie diet . . . or it might have been just a headache.  Who knows?

For the day, I ate four bags of veggies (steam-in-the-bag type things from the freezer section of the grocery).   On this, I felt reasonably non-hungry for most of the day.  Additionally and as prescribed, I drank lots of water and a coffee. That’s it.

Probably les than 600 calories for the day.

I’ll let you know how things go today in tomorrow’s post.


Meal #1 @ 8:30 AM:
Coffee!! Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers Healthy Colors Farmer’s Blend with carrots, cauliflower, sugar snap peas, and dried cranberries in a light butter sauce.

About 210 calories, 3g fat, 48g carbs, and 3g protein.

I did not notice the cranberries when I was selecting this one in the store.  They taste darn good. =)

Meal #2 @ 1:10 PM: Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers Healthy Colors Valley Blend with carrots, broccoli, and  golden cauliflower in a garlic butter sauce.

About 100 calories, 3g fat, 20g carbs, and 2.5g protein.

Plus two small cans of tuna for about 24g protein.

Meal #3 @ 3:30 6 PM: Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers Healthy Colors Nature’s Blend with carrots, green beans, yellow carrots, and red yellow pepper strips in an herb-infused extra virgin olive oil sauce.

About 120 calories, 3g fat, 24g carbs, and 3g protein. Plus four eggs for about 24g protein.

Meal #4 @ 8 9 PM: Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers Healthy Colors Farmer’s Blend with carrots, cauliflower, sugar snap peas, and dried cranberries in a light butter sauce.

About 210 calories, 3g fat, 48g carbs, and 3g protein.  I forgot and had another serving of protein with this meal – 3.5 ounces of chicken with soy sauce and Sriracha.

Other food throughout the day: coffee, tons of water, carrots as a snack, two almonds, mucho mucho mucho water
